Poker is a card game played by two or more players. It is a game of chance but can involve some skill and psychology especially when betting is involved. In most forms of poker a forced bet, often called an ante or blind, must be made by all players before the dealer begins dealing cards. This money is placed into a central pot and the player with the highest hand at the end of a betting interval wins the pot. The game is usually played with chips which have different values assigned to them by the dealers before the start of a hand.<\/p>\n
Once all players have their cards they begin to place bets into the pot in a clockwise direction. This continues until all players have folded or the pot is empty.<\/p>\n
If you don\u2019t have a good poker hand you can try to improve it by bluffing. Bluffing involves betting in a way that suggests your hand is better than it actually is in the hope that other players will call your bluffs and you will win the hand. The strength of your poker hands is also partly determined by position.
